CollectiveAccess is an ongoing project to develop a full-featured,
freely available, open-source collections management and online presentation tool. The software excels at handling visual media, making it
ideal for archives of images or video. CollectiveAccess is currently in use at more than 20 institutions, including the
Deutsche Kinemathek in Berlin, tracking an extensive film collection; at the
Royal Museum for Central Africa in Belgium to manage a large ethnographic collection; for collections at the
National September 11th Memorial & Museum in New York; at the
Parrish Art Museum in Southampton, NY to for collection access and exhibitions; and at the
Coney Island History Project to manage an archive of photographs and films of the amusement park. To find out
