Whirl-i-Gig
A trove of information about an historic 6-year expedition to one of the most extraordinary biological regions on Earth, the Northeastern Congo. The site includes a searchable database containing thousands of photographs, watercolors, field notes and published manuscripts, a multi-media introduction in three languages, and a collection of interpretive essays. Whirl-i-Gig served as general consultant to the American Museum of Natural History Library on the project, developing specific components, coordinating contributions by various museum departments and assisting with oversight of independent contractors.
