Whirl-i-Gig produced a custom cataloguing system and dynamic Flash-based search and browse interface for The Tomkins Collection Online, a web site displaying the arts of pre-modern cultures selected from an extensive, professionally curated private collection. All aspects of the site are easily customizable using web-based management tools, including collection items, the geographically-based navigation system, opening splash screen and bibliography. Many production tasks such as image sizing and conversion are handled automatically by the cataloguing system largely freeing the curators from reliance on technical support staff.
